Hooks 12U goes 2-0 this past weekend scoring 11 RUNS each game!
This past Sunday our 12u Hooks boys took the field and Stockton, Ca to play two games.
In the first game, we faced Club All Star 12u. CJ Balanon started the game on the bump and went 2 strong innings, punching out five hitters. A newcomer, and a huge pick up to our team, Radley Smith led the charge going 2 for 2 and going big fly in his first at bat for the Hooks. Also going 2 for 2 for the Hooks was Vince Garcia, who also went big fly. Prince Hernandez also jumped in on the fun and hit a bomb himself. In total, the hooks had 9 hits and no errors and ultimately won the game 11 to 4.
In game two, the Hooks faced, Tracy Heat 12u. It started out as a pitcher dual. Brandon Garcia started on the bump for the 12u Hooks and went 2 innings, giving up no hits and striking out 2. Once again, Smith was hot with the bat going 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs. Xavier Saucedo also went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs. After 4 1/2 innings, the Hooks were up 2-0 but the Heat put up four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. The Hooks then came up with a big fifth inning and took total control of the game by putting up an 8 spot on the board. When the game was all said and done the Hooks took game two by the final score, 11-5. The Hooks had nine hits and no errors.
